Tea light candles are small candles contained within a thin metal cup that allows the wax to melt completely while burning without having to use your own container (like a votive candle). Tea light candles have a relatively short burn time - up to about 4 hours or more - and are usually burned in one session. Candle care and clean up is easy with a tea light candle. Once the tea light burns out, just discard the metal cup (the aluminum cups are recyclable) and light a new one.

GoodLight tea light candles have a burn time of up to four plus hours. Tea lights are usually burned for one session - meaning, you light the tea light once until it burns out. Tea lights are made, however, to be able to be burned in multiple sessions. So you may burn the tea light for as long as you desire, blow it out, and then light it again later.

You can put tea light candles on the floor, although we wouldn’t recommend doing so if you have pets or small children. We also wouldn’t recommend putting them on the floor without putting them first into another container. Make sure they aren’t in the way of foot traffic and are far away from flammable objects like curtains or drapes. On second thought, maybe you shouldn’t put tea light candles on the floor!

Tea light candles made out of paraffin may be bad for your lungs, especially if you are respiratory compromised or have allergies, asthma, or are sensitive to environmental toxins.
