There are steps, small and large, that we can take every day to help lessen our impact on the planet and create more balance.

For us, contributing to reforestation and avoided deforestation projects are big steps that we are truly excited about. By working with Arbor Day, we offset the emissions from our offices, our GoodLight-related travels (air travel is a huge carbon contributor), PLUS all shipping involved in getting our candles across the ocean and then out to our customers. In 2025, that meant offsetting 168 metric tonnes through the purchase of Verified Carbon Units. The project we supported with this purchase is a carbon emission reduction program that protects over 400,000 acres of forest in Cambodia, preserving the habitat of some of Asia's most threatened species.
